- Can I have more than one application on the device?
- YES... Active Studio has a mini desktop where the user can choose the application they need.
- Can I lock the user into my application?
- YES... The mobile client can run in Kiosk mode which stops the user from running any other application other that the one you want them to.
- Can I send data to the device?
- YES... However data cannot be sent direct to the device, data can be stored on Data Exchange or any other AJAX server and when the device connects it can request the data.
- We already have a web service can I communicate to that?
- YES.. The mobile client supports AJAX so any application that supports AJAX can respond to its requests.
- What if the battery goes flat?
- The mobile client can run from a copmpact flash drive / memory card, which protects the application and data from power loss and critical terminal failure.

- Can I deposit files in Data Exchange?
- YES... Each data pocket can have attached files.
- Can I have static data?
- YES.. Sometimes it is useful to use one or more pockets to store reference information, like product list, locations etc. The API's allow you to design the use of the pockets to suit you needs.
- Can I target the data for an individual device?
- YES each data pocket has a client ID which can be the terminal ID and this is used to target the devices, or indentify which device deposited the data.
- How much data can I send?
- Each data pocket can store a megabyte of data which would be more than enough for most applications, Remember the pockets are reused once the data has been collected.
- What does Data Exchange do?
- Data Exchange acts a data repository for mobile data. It allows mobiles to send and recieve data packets in XML, .csv format etc without the customer having to providing a dedicated server.
